Signalment: 11 years old, Male Castrated, Miniature Schnauzer
Presenting Complaint: Over the last 2 days, the patient has become increasingly dyspneic.
Presenting History

The patient was attacked by two larger dogs 5 days ago. Over the next couple of days, the patient was lethargic, not eating or drinking, unresponsive to its family. The next day the patient developed respiratory distress and wretching spells. A physical exam was performed and its findings included: generalized weakness, mild hypertension, tachypnea with crackles throughout all lung fields,a grade 5/6 cardiac murmur and a tender abdomen (suspected abdominal mass on palpation)
