Signalment: 8 year old, Male Castrated, Domestic Shorthair
Presenting Complaint: An 8 year old male castrated domestic shorthair cat presented to OVC with a history of coughing of one month duration.
Presenting History

Owners reported that he sleeps on his sternum with his forelegs extended. Physical exam revealed that he was tachypnic (48 breaths per minute), had harsh lung sounds, increased inspiratory effort, and a grade 2-3/6 systolic right parasternal heart murmur. Bloodwork revealed marked eosinophilia. He tested negative for heartworm antigen.
