Signalment: 5.5 years, Male, Doberman Pinscher
Presenting Complaint: He presented to the CARE Centre, Calgary, Ab, to be re-evaluated for a previous diagnosis of congestive heart failure.
Presenting History
He developed respiratory signs more than a month ago. It was initially treated with antibiotics for presumed pneumonia. He manifested orthopnea, wheeze, cough, and reduced stamina. Three weeks ago he began therapy with Vetmedin, furosemide, and Fortekor. He has responded dramatically with resolution of his respiratory signs. He continues to have reduced stamina.
